The university was established in 1945. In 2011 the Faculty of Music and Musical Pedagogy combined with the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Social Assistance and became known as the Faculty of Sciences of Education and Arts. The Musical Documents Office has a large collection of documents and recorded musical material
