Details:

Premier prix. Awarded after eight years of study. Studies include performance (Western, jazz, Arabic instruments), solfège, Andalousian music, classical dance. Prix d'honneur (Perfectionnement). Awarded after ten years of study.

Institution Notes:

The Conservatoire was established in 1944 and operates under the Ministry of Culture. Students may begin music training from the age of ten years, but they do not begin study of an instrument till the second year of the program when they are considered to be able to read music. Ensembles include an orchestra for modern Arabic music, an orchestra for Andalusian and Moroccan music, two youth orchestras and a big band.
