Details:

Bachelor of Arts (Hons)(Music). Four years. Studies include performance (singing, Burmese harp, xylophone (patala), piano, violin, Burmese drum circle (saing), brass, Burmese oboe (hne’), gong), basic composition, history and structure of the music of Myanmar, theory, world music. Completion of a fourth year gives the degree with honours.

Details:

Post-graduate Diploma in Musicology. One year. Certificate in Video/Audio Production. 3 months.


Institution Notes:

The university was established in 2001 and operates under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture. There are departments of music, dramatic arts, painting and sculpture. Students must have completed basic general education prior to entry and be aged not more than 20 years. English is the normal language of instruction and foreign students are accepted.
