Bachelor of Music. Four years. Studies include performance (classical, jazz/pop, early music), choral conducting, composition, music education, arts management. A program in carillon playing is offered through the Netherlands Carillon School in Amersfoort. Bachelor of Church Music. Four years. Studies include performance (piano, organ, harpsichord, voice), choral conducting, composition. Bachelor of Science - Creative Media and Game Technologies. Four years. Studies in audio design, sound design, composition and music production.

Diploma programs

Details:

Practical Diploma in Carillon Playing. Studies include campanology, arranging, recital programming and repertoire, automatic music. There is an optional course in carillon pedagogy. Performing Artist's Diploma in Carillon Playing. One or two years beyond the Practical Diploma.


Institution Notes:

The School of the Arts was founded in 1987 and has departments of visual arts and design, theatre, music, arts management and media and technology. The Faculty of Music comprises the Utrechts Conservatorium, the Netherlands Institute for Church Music and the Netherlands Carillon School (Nederlandse Beiaardschool) at Amersfoort. Facilities include fine studios and equipment for music technology students. There is cooperation with Utrecht University. An active member of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen.
