Institution Notes:
The National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts was founded in 1950. The translation of its local Chinese name is ‘College of Music’ and it is currently regarded as a university-equivalent institution. It is the only institution in China that offers traditional Chinese opera as a main program. It publishes a quarterly magazine 'Traditional Opera Art'. Short courses are also available.
