Details:

Licenciatura en Educación en Música (=Bachelor). Nine semesters. Studies include performance, composition, music technology, choral and instrumental conducting. One further year may lead to the qualification of 'Profesor de Enseñanza Media en Música'.

Institution Notes:

The university can trace its history back to 1878 as the Valparaíso campus of the Universidad de Chile. In 1981 it became an independent institution. At that time the music department was established in its current form, with the program Pedagogía en Música more recently introduced.
