Institution Notes:

Formerly known as Agder College and later as Agder University College, this university founded in 2007, has campuses in Kristiansand and Grimstad. The Faculty of Fine Arts is organised into five departments: Western classical music, African-American music (jazz), music in education, visual arts, and theatre. There is a large concert hall. Most programs are taught in Norwegian though some may be offered in English. An active member of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen.
