Institution Notes:
The Adventist University of the Philippines is a private coeducational Christian institution run by the Seventh Day Adventist Church. It can trace its history back to 1917 and gained university status in 1996. The music department is directly involved in the university’s chapel music, and trains pianists and organists for various school and church functions. It also runs a community school offering tuition in performance (piano, organ and orchestral instruments) and ensemble (choir, chamber orchestra, symphonic band, various instrumental ensembles), basic theory, music appreciation and ministry of music. Off-campus activities include the organisation of seminars and workshops, concerts and exchange programs.
