Details:
Bachelor of Music. Four years. Studies may include performance (classical, opera, folk), choral and orchestral conducting, composition, theory, music history, ethnomusicology, Bashkir music, arts management.
Institution Notes:
The Institute was founded in 1968 as a branch of the Gnesins State Musical Pedagogical Institute and gained its current name and status in 2015. There are departments of music performance, musicology, Bashkir music, theatre and visual arts. Students attending the attached special secondary school receive instruction from staff at the institute. Facilities include some fine performance spaces, a sound recording laboratory and museum with a collection of rare musical instruments.
