Institution Notes:
The Conservatoire can trace its history back to 1939, and was granted its current name and status in 1993. There are three faculties: Music, Music Education and Choreography, and Theatre. Foreign students are welcome to apply. Accommodation is readily available on campus, and there are ample opportunities for concert performance. Facilities include an opera and ballet theatre and an experimental centre for music education research. An on-campus publishing house issues much material on musical pedagogics and other topics. On campus are kindergarten, primary and secondary schools for musically gifted children.
