Institution Notes:
This institution was founded in 1977 as the Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts. In 2018 it gained its current name and status as 'Dmitry Hvorostovsky Siberian State Academy of Arts'. There are departments of music, drama and visual arts. The Institute carries out research in performance practice, theory and music history and publishes monographs and teaching materials. A number of competitions and festivals are organised. A special music school is attached to the academy, giving performance and ensemble training to talented students from age 6 to age 19.
