Institution Notes:

The College, founded in 1984, is a non-profit, private educational institution, with some support from the Singapore Ministry of Education. It occupies a state-of-the-art city campus, with five world-class performance spaces. The College comprises schools of performing arts (dance, music, musical theatre, theatre), fashion, design, fine arts, art history, art therapy, media arts, and arts management. It owns three gamelans - A Sundanese, a Balinese and a Javanese. Most programs are contemporary in focus and all are innovative in approach. Language of instruction is English. Art enrichment programs are offered for children and adults one of which is the LaSalle Juniors program. LaSalle's degree programs are accredited by Goldsmiths College at the University of London. The Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore runs the LaSalle Galleries which offer exhibitions of local and contemporary art. It is expected to become a University of the Arts by 2023 in alliance with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore.
