Institution Notes:

The University was established in 1919. It organises a program of Lifelong Integrated Learning offering courses in musicology for those employed in the general and music education system and who do not wish to undertake the full-time programs. There is co-operation with the Institute of Musicology of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The Department of Musicology organises symposia in the fields of musicology and ethnomusicology. An active member of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen.
