Institution Notes:
The North-West University was formed in 2004 with the merger of the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education and the University of the North-West. The Conservatory offers music training to young people and interested members of the local community. It houses a 372-seat hall, an organ hall seating 100 and the Praetorius Music Studio, used for chamber recitals. Performance tuition is available to students in other faculties and to the community. Language of instruction is mainly Afrikaans, though English-speaking students are easily accommodated.
