Institution Notes:
A provincial conservatory within the province of Buenos Aires. It can trace its history back to 1949 and was granted its current name and status in 1995. The conservatorio has music teacher training programs and organises workshops in electro-acoustic music, opera and popular music. There is a joint project with the University of Morón Faculty of Information Technology for research in electro-acoustic music. The periodical publication Orpheotron has been issued since 1997. The conservatorio has organised a Tango Orchestra as well as jazz and folk groups. In addition to the professional music programs it offers music programs to young children and interested adults.
