Institution Notes:
The Dankook University was established in 1947 as Dankook College and gained its current name and status in 1967, being the first four-year private college in Korea. The College of Music and Arts was established in 1988 and has departments of piano, strings, winds, voice, composition and Korean traditional music. There are some fine performing spaces. There is a second campus in Cheonan.
