The School of Music at Luleå University of Technology was founded in the 1978. Piteå is situated about 45 kilometers south of Luleå (the main university campus). The Department of Music and Media has two sections - Media and Experience Production, and the School of Music. Several courses are offered in English. Member of the University of the Arctic.
