Institution Notes:

The university was first established in 1954 and gained its current name and status in 1989. The College of Arts offers programs in music, fine arts and visual design. The music department holds a collection of Chinese and Western instruments. There is an attached school, years 1 to 12 for teacher training purposes. A second campus is in Yen-Chao.
