Institution Notes:
The Lakehead University Department of Music was founded in 1988 and is housed in the William H Buset Centre for Music and Visual Arts. Facilities include a recital hall, classrooms, teaching studios, practice modules and a digital electronic/recording studio. The music library houses an extensive collection of scores, recordings and a rare facsiimile copy of the Squarcialupi Codex. Member of the University of the Arctic.
