Studies include performance (Western, Turkish instruments, opera), composition, orchestral conducting, musicology, sound engineering. Language of instruction is Turkish. Bachelor of Science in Music Education. Four years. Turkish music may be taken as a teaching subject.

Institution Notes:

The University was founded in 1982. The Faculty of Fine Arts consists of ten departments - musicology, ceramics and glass design, film design, graphics, painting, performing arts (theatre), photography, sculpture, textile and fashion design, and traditional Turkish arts. Music facilities include professional-quality recording studios and electronic labs. There is also a State Conservatory that offers programs in theatre, music performance, composition, and instrument construction and repair for interested members of the local community. An active member of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen.
