PGDE. One year. A post-graduate diploma of education leading to registration to teach in primary or secondary schools.


Institution Notes:

The University can trace its history back to 1451. The music department houses a significant Centre for Music Research. Performance tuition is taken at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Facilities include well-equipped audio laboratories. The music library holds a collection of early Scottish manuscripts and a political song archive. There are links with the Royal Scottish National orchestra, specifically with workshops for post-graduate composition students. The university’s Department of Adult/Continuing Education offers short courses in musical appreciation, and theory to interested members of the local community.
