Institution Notes:
The University of the West of Scotland can trace its history back to 1897. It gained its current name and status in 1992 and the new facilities at Ayr campus were opened in 2011. There are campuses in Ayr, Dumfries, Hamilton and Paisley, with music programs being offered at Ayr. The School of Business and Creative Industries forms part of the University's Creative Media Academy. The music department has access to excellent facilities including digital editing suites, radio studios and TV studios.
