Diploma of the European Suzuki Association. Part-time courses in teaching violin, piano, viola, violoncello, recorder and flute. Studies also include business skills for music teachers.


Institution Notes:

The Suzuki Method of music education is based on the philosophy and teaching methods developed by the Japanese violinist, pedagogue, educator and humanitarian, Dr Shinichi Suzuki. The Institute offers part-time teacher training courses in voice, violin, piano, organ, harp, viola, violoncello, double bass, guitar, mandolin, recorder, flute, trumpet, trombone, horn, euphonium and tuba leading to the Certificate and Diploma of the European Suzuki Association. The British Suzuki Institute was founded in 1978. It disseminates information about the Suzuki method and publishes lists of qualified Suzuki teachers.
