Institution Notes:

The University was created as the Oxford School of Art in 1865. After a number of name changes it was granted its current name and status in 1992. The music department is housed in the Richard Hamilton building at the Headington Hill campus. Facilities include large and small lecture theatres, practice rooms, a music technology room, two IT studios and a recording studio. The music course has no formal examinations, with all assessment done continuously through coursework.
