The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) is the world’s largest public music examining body. It is run by a board consisting of representatives of the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music, the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Graded examinations are offered in piano, organ, guitar, singing, orchestral instruments, band instruments, jazz styles, music direction, choral singing, instrumental ensembles, theory and practical musicianship. The ABRSM also offers the following diploma awards: • DipABRSM (Associate of the Royal Schools of Music). • LRSM (Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music) is available in performance, instrumental and vocal teaching and conducting. • FRSM (Fellowship of the Royal Schools of Music) is available in performance, teaching, conducting.
