Institution Notes:

The University can trace its history back to 1862. The Department of Music has cultural connections with the music of Bali and Gambia. It owns a Balinese gamelan. There is an Inter-disciplinary Centre for Computer Music Research as well as a Centre for Humanities, Music and Performing Arts Research. The Music Junior Academy offers programs to children and interested members of the local community.
