Institution Notes:

The university can trace its history back to 1839. In 1999 it became the University College Chichester, and gained its current name and status in 2005. There are campuses at Chichester and Bognor Regis, the Chichester campus being situated close to the Chichester Cathedral and the Chichester Festival Theatre. An organ scholarship is awarded, tenable jointly at the Institute chapel and at Chichester Cathedral. The University of Chichester Music Academy is a junior academy for gifted and talented musicians between the ages of 8 and 18.
