Institution Notes:
The University was founded in 1961. Students with an interest in composition are particularly welcome to the Faculty. Facilities include a state-of-the-art electronic music studio, a large pipe organ, two chamber organs, a two-manual Goble harpsichord and a large collection of tuned and untuned percussion. There is a Centre for Research in Opera and Music Theatre as well as an Experimental Music Technologies Lab. The music department works in collaboration with Glyndebourne Opera.
