The School of Music and Performing Arts is based at the Michael Tippett Centre which incorporates a state-of-the-art recording and electro-acoustic sound studio and a fine concert hall. The College welcomes applications from non-traditionally-trained students. There is a large collection of medieval, renaissance and baroque instruments, many percussion and orchestral instruments as well as a Javanese gamelan. The university operates on several campuses.
