Institution Notes:
The Cultural Complex with a fine suite of performing spaces was founded in 1983 and is also known as Teresa Carreño Theatre. It is the headquarters of the Venezuelan Symphony Orchestra. The Teresa Sarreño Foundation, a private non-profit organisation, was established in 1973 by the Centro Simón Bolívar. It organises concerts, opera and ballet, and masterclasses and courses for opera singers.
