Institution Notes:

This Conservatory was founded in 1956 and was formerly known as the Saigon National School of Music. It gained its current name and status in 1981 and is considered to be of university status. Students enter in either the National music major or the Western music major. The Conservatory has a Music Conservation and Research Institute. Facilities include some fine performing spaces. In addition to the professional program the Conservatory organises a summer music camp and pre-profession music programs for young people, not only in Hò Chí Minh City, but also in the Conservatoire’s affiliates in southern provinces of Vietnam. Acceptance into the programs is subject to audition. Language of Instruction is Vietnamese.
