Higher National Diploma in Music. One year. A program of music reading and writing using traditional and contemporary methods. Music Performance Certificate. Six months.
Institution Notes:
The Academy was founded in 2002 to provide music education, dance and related arts to students, with priority given to girls and women who have always been marginalised in the modern creative arts scene in Africa. It offers modern education in these areas while retaining and continuing traditional knowledge and skills in the areas of music, dance and music therapy/healing dance drama. It also aims to record and document music composed and performed by women. Tuition is offered in both African and Western music instruments.
