Institution Notes:

A Catholic liberal arts institution founded by the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration. It can trace its history back to 1890 as a teachers’ college for women. The university became co-educational in 1970, and gained its current name and status in 2000. The Conservatory for the Performing Arts has access to several fine performance spaces. There is an active opera program. There is a Preparatory School of Arts offering music instruction to children in the local community. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
