Details:
Bachelor of Arts. Four years. Majors in performance (classical, jazz), liberal arts (music history, theory), music education (with choral and instrumental conducting). Studies include aural skills, pedagogy. A minor in liturgical music is offered.
Institution Notes:
A private Catholic liberal arts and sciences college founded as an all-male school in 1898 by the Norbertine Order. It became co-educational in 1952. The Department of Music is housed in Abbot Pennings Hall and has access to some fine performing spaces. There is a thriving opera program.
