Institution Notes:

A state-supported university founded in 1890 as the Washington Agricultural College and School of Science. It gained its current name and status in 1959. The music school is housed in the Kimbrough Music Building which includes state-of-the-art recording studios and computer-assisted composition and instruction stations as well as rehearsal rooms and some fine performance spaces. There is a flourishing opera program. The University library holds a collection of manuscripts and memorabilia of the composers of the Second Viennese School. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
