Institution Notes:

A state-supported university founded in 1893 as a teachers’ college. It gained its current name and status in 1977. The College of Fine and Performing Arts offers programs in art, design, music, theatre and dance. There is a thriving opera program and a program of wellness for musicians. The music department houses a well-equipped computer music laboratory and some fine performance spaces. On campus is a fine collection of outdoor sculpture. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
