Master of Arts in Music. In performance, collaborative piano, theory, composition, computer music, choral and instrumental conducting, music history, music education. Master of Science in Music Therapy. Includes Level 1 training in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music.
Institution Notes:
A state university founded in 1910 as a teacher training college for women. It became co-educational in 1972 and gained its current name and status in 1979. The music department forms part of the College of Visual and Performing Arts and is located in the Silverman Fine Arts Center with access to some fine performing spaces. There is a well-equipped Center for Music Technology. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
