Details:
Bachelor of Arts in Music. Four years. Concentrations in performance (classical, jazz), composition, musical theatre, music education (with choral and instrumental conducting, Suzuki string program). Studies include music history, theory, aural skills.
Institution Notes:
Founded in 1917 as a Bible academy in the Anabaptist-Mennonite tradition, the university gained its current name and status in 1994. The music department offers a Suzuki teacher program in violin and viola as part of the Preparatory Music Program which provides music instruction to children and interested members of the local community. It also organises the Shenandoah Valley Children's Choir.
