Institution Notes:

The School of Creative and Performing Arts offers programs in dance, drama and music. There are several performing spaces of fine quality, including the Eckhardt-Gramatté Recital Hall, the University Theatre and the Boris Roubakine Recital Hall. The Department of Music has a large collection of keyboard, band, orchestral, early music and world music instruments and is equipped with state-of-the-art labs - a sonic arts lab, an integrated media lab and a telemedia arts lab. The library holds the Richard Johnston Canadian Music Archives Collection, the archive of music label EMI Music Canada, the official records of the Kodály Society of Canada and hosts the Canadian Music Centre Prairie Regional Office, a repository of music by Canadian composers. The music department operates a community music program offering performance tuition and other areas of music study to high school students and interested adults.
