Institution Notes:

A private university founded in 1875 and sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It gained its current name and status in 1903. All undergraduate degree programs include courses in religion. The School of Music is housed in the Harris Fine Arts Center, with access to several fine performance spaces. The School of Music organises a flourishing opera program. There is a state-of-the-art Advanced Lab for Music Applications and a well-equipped recording studio. The University holds an extensive archive of film music, and the music library holds the Primrose International Viola Archive, the Pratt International Harp Archive, the Gina Bachauer Archive and the John Seymour Collection of Opera and Ballet Scores, as well as more than 50,000 titles of sheet music. There is a valuable collection of music of the Church. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
