Institution Notes:
A state university founded in 1897 as a teacher training college. It gained its current name and status in 1991. The music department has access to some fine performing spaces and hosts a thriving opera/music theatre program. It is an All-Steinway School. The department houses the Dalley Collection of stringed instruments and a significant collection of original compositions by twentieth century composers. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
