Institution Notes:

The University was founded in 1922 as Wichita Falls Junior College and gained its current name and status in 1975. The music department is housed in the Lamar D Fain College of Fine Arts which also offers programs in art, mass communication and theatre. The university's opera workshop is open to all students. Feldenkrais and Alexander Technique programs are offered. There is a Summer Kodály Institute for teachers, with programs leading to Levels I, II and III. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
