Institution Notes:
A Catholic co-educational university founded in 1895 by the Sisters of the Congregation of Divine Providence. It gained its current name and status in 1975. Our Lady of the Lake University is committed to serving Hispanics, who are the majority ethnic group on campus. Hence there are specific courses related to this area, with a bilingual music program in Spanish/English. The music department houses the Gutierrez World Instrument Collection and the Linna Merritt-Crowe Vintage Instrument collection. The library holds an Old Spanish Missions archive unique to the area.
