Institution Notes:
The University was founded in 1923 as a teachers’ college. The Micky Elliott College of Fine Arts offers programs in art, music and theatre and has access to some fine performing spaces. There is a thriving opera/musical theatre program. The School of Music organises a music preparatory division that brings about 250 pre-college students to the campus each week for music instruction. Facilities include a new music wing with a fine concert hall and well-equipped technology labs. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
