Institution Notes:

A state-supported co-educational university. Founded in 1901 as an industrial college for girls, it gained its current name and status in 1957. The university is primarily for women, though men have been admitted since 1972. The Department of Performing Arts covers the areas of music, theatre and dance. Facilities include the 1,150-seat Margo Jones Performance Hall with an 85-rank 4-manual Redman organ, the Redbud Theatre, the MCL Auditorium and the Eberly Recital Hall.
