Institution Notes:

This private University was founded in 1845 and is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. The music department is a member of the Texas Association of Music Schools and is housed in the Presser Fine Arts Building. The Conservatory of Music offers music instruction to young children and interested members of the local community. It includes a Kindermusik program for infants, a Kodály-based program 'Ready, Set, Go', and Suzuki string classes. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
