Institution Notes:
An independent, privately supported university founded in 1873. The Blair School of Music was established in 1964 as a pre-college music school and has been affiliated with Vanderbilt University since 1981. It offers a thriving opera program. Alexander technique is available to students. The Blair School operates music programs for young children and adults culminating in a certificate of achievement.
