Institution Notes:

A private liberal arts university associated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention. It can trace its history back to 1890, and gained its current name and status in 1991. The School of Music is an All-Steinway School. It is housed in the Sam A Wilson Building, with a number of fine performing spaces including the Massey Performing Arts Center, the McAfee Concert Hall, the Troutt Theater and several smaller chamber recital and concert rooms. The brand-new purpose built state-of-the-art Fisher Centre for the Performing Arts was opened in 2021. Facilities include state-of-the-art audio production studios. The campus is home to the historic Belmont Carillon. The University’s programs in sound engineering and music administration are offered through the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business.
