Institution Notes:

The University was founded in 1889 and gained its current name and status in 1898. The School of Fine Arts offers programs in art, music and theatre. The music department is housed in the Johnson Fine Arts Center. Facilities include a 1000-seat performance hall, a 250-seat recital hall, rehearsal halls for symphonic band, choir and orchestra, and instrumental studios and practice rooms.
