Institution Notes:

A private fundamental Christian liberal arts university founded in 1927 by the evangelist Bob Jones Sr. There is a strong emphasis on the arts. All students take studies in bible. The School of Fine Arts comprises divisions of art, music, speech communication, and film, video and broadcasting. The Music Division occupies spacious new and renovated facilities including a state-of-the-art music technology laboratory, piano laboratory, music education laboratory, church music laboratory and rehearsal facilities for band, orchestra and chorus. The music library is housed in the Gustafson Fine Arts Center. A special collection of rare American hymnals is located in Mack Library, the university’s main library. There is a University Opera Association.
